It’s been a hectic year with the relocation back to the USA and getting things up and running on this side of the Atlantic! However… Things are falling into place!
In our industry, things get super hectic at this time of year and I’ll be participating in a number of industry events. This year I decided to combine a much-needed holiday with (and just before) the AASL Executive Retreat taking place from 28-30 September near Iguazú Falls, on the border of Argentina and Brazil. I just couldn’t pass that one up! I’ll be sharing sales leadership strategies and tactics during my interactive workshop. I’ll be delivering sales training & consulting for a client in Buenos Aires upon arrival in the country on 17th September and then exploring that amazing city. I’ve been there several times and not taken the time to take in all the city has to offer. My best friend will be joining me, which will make the whole experience extra special.
Later in October I’ll be traveling to Miami just before the ATA Conference to deliver public speaking training to several industry leaders. Public speaking training? Yes, this is something do in addition to sales training, though it’s been a couple of years since I’ve advertised this fact. It’s one of the most gratifying trainings I deliver, because the results are nearly immediate. I just love watching peoples’ confidence grow as we practice practical, yet fun, presentation exercises throughout the day. I hope to impart my love of public speaking to this group. Our industry needs more outspoken advocates to educate the world about what we do and I intend to help as much as I can in that respect!
Next, my business partner, Thomas Edwards, and I will be involved in two upcoming ELIA events in November. The first is an ELIA-sponsored webinar on 18th November at 1:00 PM ET in which we and our colleague, Bruno Herrmann, will explore the relative benefits and drawbacks of AI in Sales (more details coming soon).
Thomas and I will also be delivering a workshop at ELIA’s Focus on Project Management 2023 conference in Bucharest, Romania in conjunction with Alina Bota Tabusca entitled PM Like an Influencer on 30 November – 1 December. We’ll explore the concept of influence and exceptional influence Project Managers have on client relationships with practical/tactical skills attendees can immediately implement. We’ll have a little fun too and I’m pretty sure we’ll enjoy the post-conference wine tour.
