Training
Based on more than 30 years of cross-cultural working experience, Fluent Culture training takes organisations through the most important factors for successful international collaboration.
While training is always bespoke to your company’s needs, broadly speaking the learning can be split into two levels: cultural awareness, and skills for successful cross cultural working.
In many cases, cultural stumbling blocks occur because people simply aren’t aware they exist. Those managing global teams for the first time can be blind to the many different nuances in communication and leadership style that are required to get results within multi-cultural environments. In some cases, this leads to amusing ‘lost-in-translation’ anecdotes; in others, more serious damage is done.
Our cultural awareness training is designed to help you anticipate and recognise where cultural expectations may require a different approach. We use a tried and tested model of cross-cultural awareness; it will help you to recognise your own cultural type, as well as your implicit cultural assumptions and biases. You will also learn how to recognise and ‘diagnose’ different cultural types, and understand the different expectations certain cultures have around business and relationship building.
This is our recommended introduction training for any manager or team new to cross-cultural working.
