Jessica Rathke began her career within the languages services industry, where she was a top performer for more than two decades. In 2011, she founded L10N Sales and Marketing, a sales training and consultancy aimed specifically at helping language service providers improve their sales performance.
Jessica’s ability to identify and articulate a company’s core value proposition and her experience helping companies break into overseas markets meant that companies outside the language services niche soon began engaging her services. While Jessica is still recognised as one of the leading figures within the field of sales and marketing for language services, she now works as a sales consultant, coach and trainer for everything from education providers to companies in the service sectors. She has worked for SMEs in over 50 countries, and has an extensive knowledge of the legal and cultural nuances required for market entry into a number of global markets, including Latin America, Europe and The United States.
In 2020, Jessica rebranded her company to account for the diversity in her offering into new industries. The name of her consultancy – Fluent Sales – is both a nod to her formative career in language services, and reflective of her goal for every sales person, manager or team that she works with, whatever their industry: that they become confident, articulate and natural in their sales processes: Fluent Sellers, in other words.
When she is not working with clients or speaking at events, Jessica enjoys competitive swimming and travel. She divides her time between her homes in Austin, Texas, and London.
